Through Live Life Business Consulting, Denise Maple is a holistic business coach, featured speaker, certified life coach, and consultant. She has 25 years of commercial finance experience, 10 years of owning her own businesses, and over 15 years of teaching, training, and coaching experience.
Through her work as a spiritual life coach through Live Life Spiritual Direction and building and running training programs for large banks, she understands what drives individuals to succeed and how to build community within an organization. With this unique blend of experience and expertise, Denise is positioned to guide entrepreneurs to a successful business plan and launch, as well as work with large corporations and banks to build entry-level training programs that create a sense of community and improve retention. She also provides wellness and business skill workshops for companies of all sizes.
Denise is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance and a featured speaker on entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois Gies College of Business where she has been on the List of Excellent Teachers as Ranked by Students and as a Dean’s Impact Award recipient.
Prior to joining CIBC in 2012, she was Founder and President of VaVaVroom, a women’s motorcycle and scooter apparel business, as well as Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Columbia College Chicago. Maple also spent 17 years at LaSalle Bank Corporation/ABN AMRO where her roles included commercial lender to middle-market and large corporate companies, business manager to the CEO, lead consultant and manager in corporate development, various roles in training in Chicago and Amsterdam and eventually running the bank’s credit training program for all entry-level credit analysts for the LaSalle/ABN Americas region.
Maple received her undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her M.B.A. in Finance, Marketing and Organization Behavior from Northwestern University. She is a certified coach through Clear Inner Focus. She currently serves on the President’s Circle of the University of Illinois Gies College of Business Alumni Association, as a member of the Risk Management Association’s Academic committee, as a facilitator of the Women at Gies Affinity Group, and as a volunteer and financial analyst for Whitewater Grocery Co, a community led effort to bring a grocery store to Whitewater that offers local, sustainable, and healthy food options to the community.
